About Parul

Parul Seth is an Entrepreneur, Writer, Storyteller, Photographer, Singer, Dancer and Engineer. She completed her Masters in Software Engineering from University of California, Irvine in 2014. At UC Irvine she studied quantified-self, ubiquitous computing, health informatics while mastering the core of software engineering. During her masters she researched and wrote a thesis on “Personicle : Contextual and Actionable Chronicle of a Person’s Life” under the guidance of Professor Ramesh Jain known as the Father of Multimedia.  

Parul led various technology transformational initiatives as a Tech Lead and Staff Software Engineer at Intuit Inc. until July 2020. She has spoken and spread her software engineering knowledge at various avenues including Grace Hopper Conference for Women in Computing and as an Intuit representative on the Athena’s TSIG committee. She has received awards on various occasions throughout her career including customer obsession award and outstanding employee award.  

Parul had a life-threatening car accident in July 2018, and eventually decided to take a break from the corporate world and focus completely on her health. She is now working on ventures based on art and its amazing power to heal. She is living her lifelong dream of building her own companies from ground-up. 

Parul has been performing on stage as a dancer and singer since the age of 4. She regularly shares her Nature Photography on her Instagram page @knowparuls with an alias P.S. Talks with Nature and has sold prints from over a rich collection of thousands of beautiful photographs of flowers, landscapes etc. She has a collection of over 50 original writings of her own including poetry, songs and stories.

She very fondly likes to say that she is continuing to learn and explore all her “mohabbats (loves)”.
